Serotonin Overdose Treatment

If people happen to exceed the serotonin medication e.g. the melatonin overdose;first treatment to be administered here is the gastric lavagewhich will dispose of the pill in the stomach. If this method doesn’t work you can try out the activated charcoal solution. This will lower the tachycardia to 110 beat per minute, reduce hypertension to 150 mm Hg, regulating the body temperature to 38.1 degrees and to 22 breaths minutes.

Stopping the use of paraxetine medication can be another way of treating a patient with an overdose. This is done by simple hydrating the person with intravenous fluids, 1 dose of alprazolam about 2mg/ and cyproheptadine dose of 18 m per day.And if such treatments followed carefully the person suffering from serotonin overdose will be discharged early by the psychiatric.
